Multiprotocol OBD II Tracker

 The ST500 is a low-cost tracking solution which simply plugs into the OBD II diagnostic port placed in the vehicle, commonly near the driver’s knees or below the steering wheel column. Once you plug the ST500 into the OBD II port of your vehicle, the device starts tracking and monitoring diagnostic information about the vehicle.

The ST500 is an ideal application for the industries such as vehicle insurance, fleet management, rental, leasing companies and more areas because it is capable of sending reports about driving behaviour and about alert conditions on harsh breaking, harsh cornering, excessive acceleration, high speed, towing, unauthorized removal of the device. In addition to all these, the device can report any error conditions present in the DTC (diagnostic trouble codes) table of the OBD-II protocol.

The ST500 detects motion using the 3-axis accelerometer and supports the quad band GSM/GPRS subsystem allowing the vehicle’s location to be monitored from its server. Due to the ST500’s superior algorithms for automatic protocol-detection, the device (ST500) can make an access to hundreds of parameters in real-time. The ST500 supports the following OBD II protocols:

  • ISO 15765-4 (CAN),
  • ISO 14230-4 (Keyword Protocol 2000),
  • ISO 9141-2 (Asian, European, Chrysler vehicles),
  • SAE J1850 VPW (GM vehicles), and
  • SAE J1850 PWM (Ford vehicles)
